Effective October 8, 2026

1. Service

ChirpWater LLC, a Washington limited liability company, provides the Clean Page application at cleanpage.app and the informational website at cleanpage.org (together, the "Service"). The Service is free. There is no paid tier and there are no accounts.

2. Privacy

The privacy statement is part of these terms. If a school district has signed a student data privacy agreement with ChirpWater, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms.

3. Your writing

You own what you write. ChirpWater never receives it and claims no rights to it.

4. Open source

The source code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Anyone, including a school district, may host its own copy under that license. The names "Clean Page" and "ChirpWater" are not licensed.

5. Changes to the Service and these terms

Material changes are posted here with a new date. Institutions that have identified themselves to ChirpWater get at least 30 days' advance notice. Releases of the application are listed in the changelog.

6. Availability

The Service may change or end. ChirpWater will post notice. Hosting your own copy under the license remains available.

7. No endorsement

ChirpWater does not use the name of any school or district. ChirpWater does not promote anything to students.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied. Unless required by applicable law, ChirpWater is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service or inability to use it.

9. Governing law

The laws of the State of Washington govern these terms.
